Biography


Amanda Walden, PhD, RHIA, CHDA, is an Associate Lecturer in the School of Global Health Management and Informatics which is part of the College of Community Innovation and Education. Her concentration is in Health Informatics and Information Management. She has been a faculty member at UCF since 2012, and is a three-time graduate of UCF. She teaches small and large class sizes, with both face-to face and online delivery. Her experience in acute care, physician practices, and behavioral health, brings real-world knowledge into the classroom. She has served for many years in HIIM related associations, and has held leadership positions at the regional, state, and national levels. She serves as a speaker on topics relevant to HIIM and education at numerous events both in academic settings and in the field.
