Biography

Debby McGann is an Associate Lecturer and the Program Coordinator for the Bachelor of Science, (BS) & Master of Arts in Teaching, (MAT) Art Education degrees. Prior to her position at UCF, she was a Visual Arts and AP Art History educator in public and private schools for over 20 years at all levels; High School, Middle School, and Elementary School.

She holds a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Art Assessment. Her Bachelor of Science and Master of Education in Art Education degrees focused on developing curriculum for fine arts studio practice. Her scholarly interests include “Art Appreciation & Art Criticism”, “Differentiated & Integrated Learning in the Art Classroom”, and “Art Educators as Artists”.

In her personal drawing and painting artwork she enjoys portraying the beauty and importance of the natural world, in addition to creating abstract & non-objective designs.
