Biography

Dr. Jahani earned her Ph.D. in organizational behavior with a focus on knowledge management and sharing. Dr. Jahani organized multiple conferences including for the Information & Policy Analysis Center Conference (IPAC; 2014, 2015), the International Women’s Issues Conference (IWIC; 2016, 2018), and the World Academy for the Future of Women (WAFW; 2016) for which she also served as a board member. Since 2015, Dr. Jahani has served UCF as a statistician. Dr. Jahani earned a graduate certificate in Advanced Quantitative Methodologies centered around robust data analytics and research methods. Dr. Jahani has acquired research-based experience in multiple areas. Dr. Jahani authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, which resulted in 2,527 reads and 168 citations (Research Gate, 2022; Google Scholar, 2022). Dr. Jahani earned her second Master’s degree in Hospitality Management. Dr. Jahani also earned her second graduate certificate in Event Management. Dr. Jahani co-edited three textbooks related to research methodology in hospitality and tourism. The first book is published via Emerald Publishing: Contemporary Research Methods in Hospitality and Tourism). Dr. Jahani also serves as an Invited Associate Methodology Editor for the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Insights which requires her to carefully and timely review manuscripts submitted for publication consideration. Dr. Jahani direct assessment for the College of Community Innovation and Education through survey science and institutional effectiveness. Dr. Jahani lead department and college surveys including design, distribution, data collection, data analysis, and reporting and visualization. Dr. Jahani has supported and guided scholars and doctoral candidates with data preparation and analysis, grant proposals, scholarly publications, dissertations, academic job applications, and portfolios for advancement in academia (or transitions out of academia). As a graduate faculty scholar at UCF since 2014, Dr. Jahani taught face-to-face, hybrid, and fully online courses to nearly 2,100 undergraduate and graduate students. She taught Revenue Management in the Rosen College of Hospitality Management.  Dr. Jahani taught Data Analytics, Fundamentals of Graduate Research in Education, and Yoga and Meditation. She served as the instructor of record in the Computing and Statistical Technology Laboratory in Education (CASTLE).
