Teach-In

Friday, June 28, 2019
The Centre for Law and Policy in connection with The Joint Center for Citizenship and the UCF Mock Trial program held a Teach-In event for Florida public school educators. Highschool and middle school social studies and civics teachers from Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties spent the day learning how to incorporate mock trial techniques into their classrooms. Speakers including UCF Legal Studies faculty and local lawyers spent the day providing specific guidance on how to make a program work. The day ended with mock trial students from UCF flipping roles with teachers and instructing them on how to conduct a mock trial. Be on the lookout for similar events coming in the near future.
