Overview
Healthcare administrators play an integral role in managing public health systems, hospital networks and healthcare facilities. The Master of Health Administration program offers two tracks, which provide choices particular to your interests within healthcare management.

Health Services Administration Track
The 51-credit hour curriculum in the program’s health services administration track emphasizes leadership, strategic and financial planning, and issues and trends in healthcare. Classes are offered in mixed-mode with convenient day and night courses to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals. What are the admissions criteria? To be considered for admission to the program’s health services administration track, you must submit the following:
- An official transcript of your undergraduate degree or the equivalent from an accredited college or university
- A minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA (either cumulative or the last 60 credit hours)
- A one-to-two page goal statement that describes who you are, what your career goals are and how this degree will assist you in making those goals a reality
- Your resume
- Applicants applying to this program who have attended a college or university outside of the United States must provide a course-by-course credential evaluation with GPA calculation. Credential evaluations are accepted from World Education Services or Josef Silny and Associates, Inc.

How much is the tuition?

What kind of financial aid is available?
UCF’s Office of Student Financial Assistance provides aid to students who cannot afford the full cost of tuition. A variety of scholarships, grants and loans may be made available to students based on need and academic achievement. Can I attend the program part time?
Yes, you can enroll on a part-time basis. Part-time students typically complete the degree within three-and-a-half years.

Executive Health Services Administration Track
The 44-credit hour curriculum in the program’s executive health services administration track emphasizes leadership, strategic and financial planning, and issues and trends in healthcare. This track is fully online to provide greater access to interested candidates and accommodate the schedules of working professionals. Students admitted to the program belong to a cohort that take the same classes in the same sequence, allowing for greater collaboration, networking and an increased sense of community.
What are the admissions criteria?
To be considered for admission to the program’s executive health services administration track, you must submit the following:
- One (1) sealed transcript from each university/college attended that shows a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Goal statement indicating how the Executive Health Services Administration program will enhance career goals.
- Resume (no longer than two pages).
- Three years of relevant health care experience, including one year of leadership experience.
- Three recommendation letters that speak to your health care and/or management experience (1 of those recommendation letters must be from your current supervisor).
- Applicants applying to this program who have attended a college or university outside of the United States must provide a course-by-course credential evaluation with GPA calculation. Credential evaluations are accepted from World Education Services or Josef Silny and Associates, Inc. only.

The estimated cost per credit hour is $772.69. This includes all university fees, which may be subject to change. Current tuition rates can be found on the tuition and fees page. Do I have to enroll as a full-time student?
Yes, students must enroll on a full-time basis and will be required to take two classes per semester. Students will be able to complete the program within two years.
Will I be required to visit the campus?
No. The program’s executive health services administration track can be completed entirely online and utilizes advanced video technology so that students can communicate with each other without having to visit the campus.
How does the cohort model work?
The program’s executive health services administration follows a cohort model, which means that each group of students admitted during the fall admissions cycle will progress through the program of study together. The advantages of this model include:

Accreditation
The program is accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education. CAHME is the only organization recognized to grant accreditation to individual academic programs offering a professional master’s degree in healthcare management education and is recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation. CAHME Accreditation is the benchmark for students and employers alike to ensure the integrity of healthcare management education. Our graduate program is also a member of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration.
