Galaxina G. Wright, RMHCI, NCC is a doctoral candidate at the University of Central Florida, working towards her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. She completed her B.S. in Psychology at Old Dominion University and her M.A. in Marriage, Couple & Family Counseling from Regent University. Galaxina is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern (RMHCI) for the state of Florida, working towards her professional license in mental health. She carries a range of mental health and career counseling expertise, particularly among individuals and families from lower socioeconomic communities. Galaxina’s research interests include examining how barriers and noncognitive factors, such as job search self-efficacy and employment hope, impact 56% of unemployed individuals with increased mental health issues.
