Tiana Tucker is a first-generation student and 2x alumni of UCF, obtaining a Master of Arts in Career & Technical Education, Career Counseling Certificate, and Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She is currently a Doctoral Candidate in the Curriculum & Instruction graduate program specializing in Educational Psychology. Tiana also works at UCF as a Faculty Coordinator in the Experiential Learning office, teaching interdisciplinary internship courses and advising students. Prior to that role, Tiana was the Assistant Director of Career Services for UCF Downtown; managing the career center through employer-recruiting initiatives, faculty/staff relations, and student career development. Tiana also teaches SLS1501 Strategies for Success, a 3-credit hour first-year seminar course for the College of Community Innovation & Education. Tiana’s research interests relate to the career development, self-efficacy, and identity analogies of first-generation underrepresented students pursuing higher education.
