Danielle Atkins, Ph.D., MPA
Health Management and Informatics
Danielle Atkins is an associated professor in UCF’s Department of Health Management and Informatics. She received her doctorate (2013) and master’s of public administration (2009) from the University of Georgia. Before coming to UCF, she taught at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She studies health policy and focuses on issues related to maternal and child health, reproductive health, substance abuse and risky behaviors. She also studies representative bureaucracy and education policy. Atkins' research has appeared in Health Affairs, Health Services Research, the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, Public Management Review and the Journal of Public Health Policy.
