Professional Summary

Dr. Janet B. Andreasen is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Central Florida in the College of Community Innovation and Education School of Teacher Education. She is the coordinator of secondary/K-12 education for the School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami (FL) and her Master of Arts and Ph.D. in Education from the College of Education and Human Performance at the University of Central Florida. Her dissertation examined the ways prospective teachers learning elementary mathematics for teaching. Dr. Andreasen teaches mathematics education courses, advises secondary lifelong learning students, and coordinates the secondary and K-12 programs for the college. Dr. Andreasen loves to see prospective and practicing teachers come to deeper understandings of mathematics for teaching.
