Professional Summary
Dr. Qian Hu joined UCF in fall 2011 after receiving her Ph. D. from Arizona State University. She specializes in collaborative governance, network studies, policy informatics, and strategic and performance management. Her work has been published in academic journals such as Public Administration Review, Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, American Review of Public Administration, Public Management Review, Administration & Society, American Behavioral Scientist, Research Policy, and Journal of Public Affairs Education. She teaches public organization management, research methods, and strategic planning and management courses. Her article, entitled “The Intellectual Structure of Empirical Network Research in Public Administration,” received the Best Journal Article 2016 Honorable Mention from The Academy of Management, Public and Nonprofit Management Division.
Dr. Hu is a recipient of the UCF Research Excellence Award (2016), Teaching Incentive Program Award (2016), Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award (2017), and College Excellence of Graduate Teaching (2015).
