The School of Public Administration’s faculty and advisory board members are affiliated with a number of professional organizations at the state, national and international levels. These organizations are listed below:

Alliance for Nonprofit Management

Alliance for Nonprofit Management (ANM)
The alliance is the national voice and catalyst for the field of capacity building. ANM is dedicated to improving the effectiveness of individuals, groups, and organizations helping nonprofits and communities achieve positive social change.

AABPA

American Association for Budget and Program Analysis (AABPA)
AABPA began in the mid-1970’s and has helped federal, state, and local government managers and analysts, corporate executives, and academic specialists keep up with the latest developments in their fields, establish and maintain contacts with colleagues, represent their interests, and share.

APA

American Planning Association (APA)
The American Planning Association and its professional institute, the American Institute of Certified Planners, are dedicated to advancing the art, science and profession of good planning – physical, economic and social – to create communities that offer better choices for where and how people work and live.

APSA

American Political Science Association (ASPA)
With a range of programs and services for individuals, departments and institutions, APSA brings together political scientists from all fields of inquiry, regions, and occupational endeavors within and outside academe in order to expand awareness and understanding of politics.

American Society for Public Administration (ASPA)
ASPA is the largest and most prominent professional association for public administration. It is dedicated to advancing the art, science, teaching and practice of public and nonprofit administration. ASPA’s four core values are accountability and performance, professionalism, ethics and social equity.

American Society for Public Administration — Central Florida Chapter
The Central Florida Chapter of ASPA was originally founded in 1978 to offer networking and educational opportunities for public service professionals in the Central Florida region. The chapter encompasses the entire Central Florida region. In addition to the geographic area covered, The University of Central Florida currently acts as an affiliate institution to assist the Central Florida Chapter.

Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning
The Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP) is a consortium of more than 100 university departments and programs offering planning degrees as well as programs that offer degrees affiliated with planning. ACSP connects educators, researchers, and students, to advance knowledge about planning education and research. They are committed to promoting the field of planning as a diverse global community that works collectively toward healthy, equitable, and sustainable neighborhoods, cities, and regions.

ABFM

Association for Budgeting and Financial Management (ABFM)
The Association for Budgeting and Financial Management is a section of the American Society for Public Administration.  ABFM aims to promote the professional development of budgeting and financial management in the public and nonprofit sectors.

ARNOVA

Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA)
The Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action is the U.S.-based, national and international association that connects scholars, teachers, and practice leaders interested in research on nonprofit organizations, voluntary action, philanthropy and civil society.

APPAM

Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM)
The Association for Public Policy Analysis & Management is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving public policy and management by fostering excellence in research, analysis and education.

FCCMA

Florida City and County Management Association (FCCMA)
The Florida City and County Management Association is a professional organization of practicing public administrators from throughout Florida local governments.

FEPA

Florida Emergency Preparedness Association (FEPA)
FEPA was created in 1957 to help professional Emergency Managers work to protect the people of Florida. Now completing more than 50 years of service, the organization has established a goal of re-discovering its past.

GFOA

Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA)
The purpose of the Government Finance Officers Association is to enhance and promote the professional management of governments for the public benefit by identifying and developing financial policies and best practices and promoting their use through education, training, facilitation of member networking, and leadership.

IAEM

International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) 
The mission of IAEM is to serve its members by providing information, networking and professional opportunities, and to advance the emergency management profession.

ICMA

International City/County Management Association (ICMA)
ICMA develops and advances professional local government management to create sustainable communities that improve lives worldwide. ICMA provides member support, publications, data and information, peer and results-oriented assistance, and training and professional development to nearly 9,000 city, town, and county experts and other individuals and organizations throughout the world.

ISTR - International Society for Third Sector Research

International Society for Third-Sector Research (ISTR)
Founded in 1992, the International Society for Third-Sector Research is a major international association promoting research and education in the fields of civil society, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector.

National Academic Centers Council (NACC)
NACC is an international membership association comprised of academic centers or programs at accredited colleges and universities that focus on the study of nonprofit/nongovernmental organizations, voluntarism, and/or philanthropy.

National Academy of Public Administration

National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA)
Established in 1967 and chartered by Congress, the National Academy of Public Administration is a nonprofit, independent coalition of top public management and organizational leaders who tackle the nation’s most critical and complex challenges.

NEMA

National Emergency Management Association (NEMA)
The National Emergency Management Association is a nonpartisan, nonprofit 501(c)(3) association dedicated to enhancing public safety by improving the nation’s ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from all emergencies, disasters, and threats to our nation’s security.

NACO

National Association of Counties (NACo)
The National Association of Counties is the only national organization that represents county governments before the Administration and Congress. NACo provides essential services to the nation’s 3,068 counties.

NASFA

National Association of State Facilities Administrators (NASFA)
The National Association of State Facilities Administrators (NASFA) is a professional organization whose mission is to provide leadership in the development and implementation of state facility administration practices.
