Location
You can take classes in the format that fits your schedule: online, face-to-face or a blend of both. This flexibility makes it easier to manage your education alongside work and personal life. On-campus classes take place at UCF Downtown, in the heart of downtown Orlando.
Admission
Applicants should apply directly to the dual-degree track of either the MPA or the MNM program. Only one application is required. Applications are accepted in the fall and spring semesters.
For more information on admissions, please contact graduate advisor Austin McDaniels.
Capstone
As you near the finish line of your dual MPA/MNM program, you’ll complete a capstone experience that brings everything together. These final courses are designed to help you apply what you’ve learned in real-world contexts. Working with real organizations, you’ll deepen your understanding of leadership, policy, and management while tackling the complex challenges facing public and nonprofit organizations today.
Certificates
Already enrolled in a graduate program through the School of Public Administration? You may have the opportunity to count some of your coursework toward a graduate certificate. A separate application is required, but adding a certificate is a smart way to grow your skills and boost your professional profile. Explore certificate options in emergency management, urban and regional planning, research administration, nonprofit management, and public administration.
Professional Program Memberships
While earning your degrees, you’ll also gain membership into professional organizations like the International and Florida City/County Management Associations (ICMA and FCCMA). Students engage with the ICMA student chapter, connect with peers and professionals, and attend the annual ICMA conference for free. These opportunities help you sharpen your leadership skills, experience real challenges facing the sector, and expand your network in public service, both nationally and internationally.
Accreditation
UCF’s Master of Public Administration and Master of Nonprofit Management are both proudly accredited by NASPAA — the global benchmark for excellence in public service education. With a NASPAA-accredited degree, you’re building a foundation that may open doors to better job prospects, higher salaries and leadership roles in the public sector.
