The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) requires teacher candidates to complete coursework to cover Professional Education competencies, in addition to other subject area criteria. When you apply for educator certification with the FLDOE, they will review your transcripts and then send you a Letter of Eligibility, which will describe the requirements that you still need for Professional Certification. Many teacher candidates will need to complete at least 15 credit hours of coursework in education courses. Your letter will describe the professional education areas that you need to learn about within your course work. Please refer to the list below to identify the classes that our ITPP certificate offers to cover each of the professional education areas that you can potentially find on your letter.
