At UCF, we believe preparing the next generation of school psychologists starts with connection — to expert faculty, real-world experiences and a supportive learning environment. That’s why our selective program keeps cohorts small, creating space for close mentorship and meaningful collaboration between students and faculty.

Our faculty aren’t just working closely with you — they’re actively consulting with state education departments, school districts and national test publishers. That means you’ll have a front-row seat to the latest developments shaping the field — and the chance to get involved in projects that directly impact how psychological services are delivered in schools.

Whether your background is in psychology, education or another field, you’ll find a pathway into this dynamic profession. Here’s what you need to take the first step.

Experience factors highly in our consideration of applicants.

PLEASE NOTE: All applications, aside from official transcripts, must be submitted together with the online application. You will receive an email notifying you of its receipt once it’s been submitted, but it will not be processed until your application fee and requirements are received by the UCF College of Graduate Studies. The above files will not be returned to or copied for the applicant.

How We Rate Candidates

When deciding on applicants, we rate the following items:

  1. GPA (must be 3.0 or higher for last 60 credit hours)
  2.  Letters of Recommendation
  3.  Previous Graduate Degree
  4.  Information Session Attendance
  5.  Personal Interview

The top applicants will be offered admission. Please note that because we can only accept a limited number of candidates (typically 14-16 students), you may not be accepted even if you meet all criteria.
