Build a career in crisis response with our BA/BS in Emergency Management, the first undergraduate degree of its kind in Florida. Future leaders gain a deeper understanding of supporting organizations and communities in preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery efforts, emphasizing ethical decision-making and resilience.

Learn incident management, disaster planning and community resilience through online, face-to-face or hybrid courses at UCF Downtown. The curriculum includes FEMA’s Professional Development Series and a required internship and capstone course that connect you with local agencies, building your network and experience.

The Certified Emergency Manager credential accepts a four-year bachelor’s degree in lieu of experience, allowing graduates to earn this credential faster. The BS option requires an additional 6 credit hours of upper-level PAD courses, while the BA requires proficiency in a foreign language equivalent to one year in college.
