As technology continues to evolve, there is a growing need for professionals to plan, develop and maintain health information systems for a variety of employers.

Earning a Master of Science in Health Care Informatics from UCF will help you develop the skills necessary to positively impact health care and patient outcomes in this cutting-edge field. Location

The Master of Science in Health Care Informatics is offered fully online. Students enrolled in UCF Online can enjoy reduced campus-based fees.

Internships

The program concludes with a required internship, providing hands-on experience in the field. Internships may lead to full-time employment for students. Learn more about internships.

Certifications

All students sit for the Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) certification before graduation. Other professional certifications are available to qualified students. Also, students who successfully complete appropriate coursework receive a Tier 1 Academic Specialization from SAS and are eligible to sit for the Base SAS Certification exam.
