Dr. Mercy Roberg joined the Legal Studies department at UCF in August 2023.

Mercy Roberg's educational journey reflects her commitment to both legal and educational empowerment. Dr. Roberg’s pursuit of academic excellence started at the University of Florida, where she attained a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master of Education with a specialization in ESOL. Dr. Roberg's dedication to education is further highlighted by her Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law, which established a strong foundation for her legal career.

Dr. Roberg has taught in a variety of settings from graduate level courses at the University of Mississippi and Penn State University to kindergarten at Title I schools and even environmental education in the Peace Corps.

Dr. Roberg's impact resonates through her roles at esteemed institutions. As the Director of Operations and Staff Attorney at Community Law Program, Inc., a legal aid organization in Florida, she was instrumental in enhancing the lives of Pinellas County residents. Mercy's leadership has guided her responsibilities in human resources, strategic advisory, and the management of the Pinellas Eviction Diversion Program. Through her efforts, this program has provided a vital mediation platform for landlord and tenant disputes, fostering safe and inclusive experiences for clients. Furthermore, her representation of family law clients and domestic violence survivors along with managing weekly legal clinics with pro bono attorneys showcases her dedication to community service and access to justice.

For seven years in various roles at Stetson University College of Law, Mercy's influence extended as the Director of the Office of Professional Education. Her guidance played a pivotal role in delivering impactful training sessions for professionals spanning various fields and geographic regions. Under her leadership, the office initiated innovative strategies to create alternative revenue streams, contributing to the institution's financial sustainability.

Professionally, Dr. Roberg maintains a small boutique law firm specializing in education law and family matters.

Dr. Roberg's journey is characterized by a relentless pursuit of excellence, a passion for education, and an unwavering dedication to making a difference. Her intersection of legal knowledge, educational empowerment, and community service embodies a holistic approach to creating positive change in her students and clients.
