Travis’ nearly ten-year career in public education began in North Carolina where he earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and elementary education from Western Carolina University. Seeking a master’s in educational leadership from the University of Central Florida, Travis was able to develop healing approach to transitioning students in and through their university experience. Graduating in the midst of a global pandemic, Travis career moved to the classroom where he rose to the challenge of teaching elementary school online. Serving in varying teaching capacities from 2nd to 4th grades, Travis saw the greater need of love and support for our students. Travis returned to UCF in 2022 to serve in undergraduate affairs for the College of Community Innovation and Education. Currently, he is working on his second master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Travis’ free time is spent watching college basketball and professional baseball. He also loves to spend time outdoors, on cruise ships, traveling and finding unique breweries in central Florida. Most importantly, he spends his Saturdays loving his dog – Ian Theo.
