As the landscape of our planet changes, the world needs individuals with the knowledge required to coordinate efforts, craft communications, protect the environment and human health, and understand sustainable infrastructural needs. The Environmental Science bachelor’s degree at UCF provides students with an interdisciplinary dive into a spectrum of relevant sciences, from ecology and biology to chemistry and physiology. You’ll gain an introduction to geographic information systems (GIS), develop a comprehensive understanding of the multidimensional nature of environmental studies and policy, and hone skills like project management and sustainable living. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to explore various areas of scientific inquiry — including plant sciences, conservation, aquatics, genetics, animal behavior and beyond — by choosing from a host of available restricted electives.
