In their first in-person competition since the COVID-19 pandemic began, UCF’s Mediation Team brought home various awards from the Brenau Invitational Mediation Tournament in Gainesville, Georgia. 🏆

The team, led by Christy Foley, earned first-place team of mediators and team of advocates/clients, along with other pair and individual awards.

🙌WUCF TV's Meet the Helpers initiative was nominated for a Suncoast Regional Emmy®🏆 in the Children/Youth (12 and under) Short Form Content category.

This project, and the research around it, included involvement from Judith Levin, senior lecturer of early childhood development and education, with an appearance by Ann Shillingford-Butler, associate professor of counselor education, as a mental health helper.

WUCF TV, Central Florida’s PBS station, worked in partnership with #UCFCCIE and the Nicholson School of Communication and Media to develop the series designed to introduce children to community helpers and practice emergency preparedness.
