From Paraprofessional to Certified Teacher

Are you passionate about helping young learners succeed? Our UCF Elementary Education Pathway for Paraprofessionals program offers a unique opportunity for paraprofessionals and instructional assistants to earn an Elementary Education Bachelor of Science degree in the state-approved, K-6 Certification track.

  • Learn from our nationally recognized faculty, who are committed to your success.
  • Paraprofessionals with instructional assistance experience may waive up to two lower-level courses.
  • Students will join a cohort and follow a unique course sequence.
  • Students can complete the program in three years.

The K-6 certification track is designed for students who plan to become elementary education teachers in school settings that require certification. Students graduating from this track earn both ESOL and reading endorsements. Applications are accepted year-round, however, cohorts for the program begin in the fall semester each academic year.
