Dr. Diane DelliBovi is a fifth grade teacher and team leader at Lawton Chiles Elementary school. She has been an elementary teacher and instructional coach for 14 years. Dr. DelliBovi earned her master’s degree in K-8 Mathematics and Science Education from the University of Central Florida, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Exceptional Education. Some of her recognitions include 2017 Teacher of the Year and 2018 Hero Teacher. She enjoys working with Mathletes, mentoring new teachers and interns, as well as leading the Mathematics Committee at her elementary school. Her dissertation, An Ethnography of the Self-Determination of Students with Disabilities when Participating in High-Level Mathematics Tasks in an Inclusive Classroom, examined ways students receive and give help in the classroom. She continues to advocate for students with exceptionalities and helps all students see the wonder and joy in learning mathematics.
