Biography

Biography

I am Dr. Kevin Jardaneh (pronounced: Jar-DAN-ee), and I am an interdisciplinarian. Perhaps, like many of you, I have many interests, professional and otherwise. Someone once called me a 'Renaissance man,' and I took that as the greatest of compliments. My professional career spans the military, corporate, and academic worlds. During the 1990s, I served in the U.S. Navy for six years as an analyst stationed overseas, first in Rota, Spain, and then, Naples, Italy. In the early-2000s, I worked in the brokerage industry for six and a half years in Orlando, Florida.

I have earned a B.A. in Political Science, an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (with a concentration in Cognitive Science), and a PhD in Texts & Technology, all from the University of Central Florida (UCF). In addition to teaching and advising for a number of years for UCF's Interdisciplinary Studies program and the School of Politics, Security, and International Affairs, I worked with UCF's Center for Humanities and Digital Research (CHDR) as part of project funded through a National Endowment for the Humanities grant, and served as the Assistant Director of UCF's Office of Undergraduate Research. I spent several years running Eastern Oregon University's Interdisciplinary Studies program, several more advising for UCF's School of Politics, Security, and International Affairs, and now, I'm exciting to be teaching for UCF full-time! Your success is my goal!
