Dr. Yeidi Diaz Reyes is an 8th grade teacher at Roberto Clemente Middle School. She has been a teacher for 13 years, two in Puerto Rico and the rest here in Orlando. She earned her master’s degree in K-8 Mathematics and Science Education from the University of Central Florida. Some of her accomplishments include becoming the Mathematics Department Head in her school and improving Geometry student’s performance gains to first place in the Southeast Learning Community during the 2020-2021 school year. She was also part of the first group of teachers across United States to be part of a Minority Program founded by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) to bring more voices to the conferences. What Dr. Diaz-Reyes finds most exciting about this program is the opportunity to grow and improve as a teacher leader in her school and community.
