UCF’s emergency management program ranks No. 2 in the country, and graduate programs in education, engineering and nursing climbed in this year’s U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings.

Two dozen faculty members from the College of Community Innovation and Education were approved for promotion effective Aug. 8.

Each year, UCF recognizes outstanding faculty and student accomplishments during the annual Founders’ Day Honors Convocation. Here are the College of Community Innovation and Education’s 2022 honorees.

Associate Professor Latarsha Chisholm aims to improve quality of care and reduce disparities while implementing innovation in her field.

The team’s findings will be used by the Office of the State Courts Administrator to develop trainings and guidelines for problem-solving courts to use when making decisions about treatment options for court participants.

The program awarded a total of $1 million to 32 teams. This is the third year the program has been available to UCF faculty and researchers.

As the population ages, communities must adopt more creative ways to help older adults stay mentally and physical healthy and engaged, especially in light of the social isolation caused by COVID-19, according to a UCF population health researcher.

The new designation enables the School of Global Health Management and Informatics to expand their global reach and research.
