We offer two graduate certificates, which are designed to provide advanced training to both students in the counselor education program and for practicing clinicians in the community.
Career Counseling
The Career Counseling certificate is designed to provide advanced training to students and practicing counselors who want to provide career counseling and consultation services. The certificate requires the completion of three graduate courses addressing foundations, theories, assessment, techniques and applications of career counseling and development.
Play Therapy
The Play Therapy certificate is designed to provide advanced training to students and practicing counselors who want to provide play therapy services to clients. The certificate requires the completion of four graduate courses addressing foundations, advanced theories, group and family and applications of play therapy. Those who complete the certificate will meet the educational requirements for national certification in play therapy through the Association for Play Therapy.
