Visiting Days
The higher education student personnel graduate community, professionals within the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services (SDES) and sister institutions in the Central Florida area will host a visitation weekend for all incoming students in February. This event will be an opportunity for you to meet and interview with the various SDES departments around campus and other local institutions that provide employment opportunities for graduate students interested in going into the field of student affairs. Additionally, this event will serve as a welcome into the higher education program. The Visiting Days program will feature a series of activities designed to introduce you to the program, the university and your fellow graduate students. For more information, contact Nancy Marshall.
Graduate Assistantships
You are encouraged to apply to multiple graduate assistantship positions and to apply to positions from all institutions, to have a better chance at receiving interviews for Visiting Days. The submission of your application does not guarantee an interview. You will be notified of your interview schedule the week before Visiting Days. Applications for graduate assistantships will not be reviewed without acceptance into the higher education program.
The Student Personnel Association
The Student Personnel Association is a student organization for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students who are interested in studying and/or working in student affairs. It offers professional development, networking, academic and social opportunities for its members and people affiliated with the Higher Education program.
