If I already have a graduate degree, am I able to receive funding to earn the Graduate Certificate as a Collaborative Intervention Specialist only?

At this time, Project CENTRAL is able to provide support and funding only for scholars concurrently enrolled in the degreed programs mentioned above. However, scholars who wish to self-fund or have other funding opportunities available to them are still able to apply to the graduate certificate.

How many years of service are required to satisfy the obligation if awarded funding support?

Scholars accepted to Project CENTRAL for funding support must complete and sign a Service Obligation Agreement from the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) at the U.S. Department of Education. For every year of funding support received by the Project, scholars must “payback” two years through service in eligible employment working with students with disabilities. Additional information about the Service Obligation Agreement is available here.
