Biography

Dr. Jennifer Weyant Betz is an Accreditation and Program Approval specialist in the School of Teacher Education (STE) at UCF. She provides direct support to the staff and faculty with Accreditation and reporting projects so that they can achieve the highest level of excellence in teacher education.

Before her current position UCF, Jennifer was a K-12 educator for over 16 years and a HE faculty member for over 15 years. She has worked with National, state, and local agencies to ensure the consistency of delivery of high-quality teacher education programming within higher education and has expertise in educational program review boards.

Jennifer is a proud UCF knight graduate for both her EdD in Curriculum and Instruction and her Med degree in Art Education. She previously earned her bachelor’s degree from Pratt Institute before her years of service in the classroom. She is a practicing visual artist and community mentor with the Master Gardener program of Florida and Arts programs across the state.

Her current research interests include sustainable assessment practices across all content areas, with a special focus on performance evaluation in Art Education.
