The Master of Education in Elementary Education program is designed to meet the classroom teacher's needs whose career goals are to remain in the classroom and advance their current knowledge and skills. Students in this program select tailored coursework to meet their professional goals; the program provides several options to add valuable endorsements to a teaching certificate by participating in one of our graduate certificates: gifted education, reading education, special education and more.
- Students can take the program on campus or fully online. Applicants will need to indicate their choice when they apply to the program.
- Students can typically complete the program in one to two years. View the planning overview to view course offerings and when courses are offered.
- Courses for the on-campus program are offered face-to-face, online and mixed-mode. In-person classes meet once a week in the evening.
- Students may apply to this program with either a temporary or professional teaching certificate. If you hold a temporary certificate, it is possible to complete your Letter of Eligibility requirements from the Florida Department of Education within your program.
