Overview
The Master of Education in Exceptional Student Education program prepares exceptional education teachers to work in programs serving Pre-K-12 students with disabilities. The program is designed for teachers already certified in exceptional student education (or other certification in special education) to enhance their knowledge, skills and dispositions.
The Exceptional Student Education MEd may be completed fully online, although not all prerequisites or electives may be offered online.
Exceptional student education is a critical shortage area, and students may be eligible for funding under the TEACH grant. Additionally, students may be eligible to receive partial or full tuition support through our U.S. Department of Education funded projects.
