2021-2022 Honors and Professional Association Awards

The School of Global Health Management and Informatics was named the recipient of the 2022 Award for Engagement with AUPHA - Established Member Program.

The annual UCF Criminal Justice and Public Service Conference received the National Criminal Justice Month Program of the Year Award from the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.

Michele Gill, professor in the Department of Learning Sciences and Educational Research, was awarded Fellow status in the American Psychological Association.

Varadraj Gurupur, associate professor in the School of Global Health Management and Informatics, received the 2021 American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Triumph Award for Innovation.

The Counselor Education Program received the 2021 Robert Frank Outstanding Counselor Education Program – Master’s Program Award from the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.

Richelle Joe, associate professor in the Department of Counselor Education and School Psychology, received the Outstanding Teaching Award from the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.

Naim Kapucu, professor in the School of Public Administration, was selected to join the National Academy of Public Administration’s 2021 Class of Academy Fellows.

Dalena Dillman Taylor, associate professor in the Department of Counselor Education and School Psychology, received the Counselor Educator Advocacy Award from the Association for Child and Adolescent Counseling.

Ross Wolf, professor in the Department of Criminal Justice, has been named an American Council on Education Fellow selected to participate in the 2022-2023 academic year.

Thomas Bryer, a professor in the School of Public Administration, received the 2021 Global Lithuanian Award.

Sarah Bush,  a professor in the School of Teacher Education, received the 2021 Award for Excellence in Integrating Science and Mathematics from the School Science and Mathematics Association.

Mary Little, a professor in the School of Teacher Education, received the Mary E. Collins award from the Florida Association of Teacher Educators.
